DESCRIPTION
Ammonites are centuries old mollusks. These extinct marine animals thrived in the Paleozoic and Mesozoic Eras, some 400 to 465 million years ago. As cephalopods, they are related to squid, octopus, and the chambered nautilus. Their unique shell, constructed of a series of air chambers, enabled the Ammonites to swim: The air and gas in the chambers provided buoyancy for the animal to float and jet-propel themselves through the water. Scientists determine the location of prehistoric seas based on the presence of Ammonites. Our Ammonites were discovered in Madagascar.

We usually get them halved and they are perfect mirrors of each other, but these are gorgeous and whole.  A perfect gift for yourself or loved ones.

These have the coolest fossil markings all over, both sides…….lovely!
